Petite chouette is half of a very large farmhouse on the normandy/ brittany border near to st james. And makes an excellent value break in low and mid season for a couple or a family of 4. It offers a large amount of accomodation for the same price as a small cottage. it has a fully equipped kitchen/diner with a woodburning stove and comfy chairs, plus a table for seating 6 to eat at. There is a large lounge with a feature fireplace and woodburning stove and an additional sun room off that. There is a double bedroom with an en suite shower room on the 1st floor and a twin bedded room on the ground floor. This is opposite the 2nd shower room so both bedrooms have their own facilities. There are 2 televisions, 1 in the lounge the other can be put in either bedroom or the kitchen or sun room for the children to watch videos or use the playstation on. when 5 or more people rent the house the games room will be available which has a large adult pool table, table football, electronic darts, board games and toys. There is a small bar area for private use.

The house is over 300 years old and built of stone with lots of original features such as beams and fireplaces. It is well furnished with comfortable beds, sofas and chairs and all mod cons in the kitchen. It is set in beautiful farmland just 5km over the border in to brittany in between avranches and fougeres. It is located not far from j.32 of the a84 making it easy to reach from all the major ferry ports. Dinard airport is only 45 miles away. St malo is under an hours drive, caen and cherbourg are about 2 hours, le havre 3 hours, calais and boulogne about 4 hours drive - all motorway. Mont st michel can be reached in about 30 minutes and is a must see. The local beaches of both normandy and brittany are about 20 minutes away. It is possible to take a ferry for a day trip to the channel islands from granville about 1hrs drive. The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists and bikes can easily be hired locally. There are many typical french restaurants and cafes and bars in nearby fougeres and avranches, plus a host of shops for all. We guarantee you will not be lost for something to do even if it is just relaxing in front of the fire with a glass of wine!
